At Pay Advantage we've been busy working to improve the direct debit creation and editing experience. Overall the changes have been made to make the creation process quicker, and editing active direct debits easier. Hopefully these changes can help you save time doing admin work.

View Xero Invoices in Pay Advantage ✨

A new item called Xero Invoices will appear under the payments tab if you have integrated and synced your Xero Account. View, search, and manage payments for any invoice you have in Xero.

Similar to the View Direct Debits page, merchants can action payments for Xero invoices from within Pay Advantage. They can choose to Pay by Virtual Terminal/Send a Payment Request OR Create a Direct Debit from Invoice.

Create Direct Debits from Xero Invoices ⚡️

Set the frequency, recurring amount and start date to let your customers pay off invoices in more manageable amounts.

Send Payment Requests for Xero Invoices 💬

Send a payment request from Pay Advantage to send your customers a link by SMS or email letting them make a payment for the invoice from their own device.

When an invoice has an active direct debit, or payment request associated with it. This can be viewed in the Xero Invoices dashboard page. Payment Requests can be re-sent or cancelled from here, and viewing the direct debit will take the merchant to the direct debit view.

Attach Xero Invoices to Exisiting Direct Debits 📌

Attach a Xero invoice to any exisiting direct debit where the customer has an outstanding invoice. New payments for this direct debit will be marked against your invoice in Xero.

If a direct debit has an attached invoice, any payments from that point on will be applied to the Xero Invoice update the amount paid. If a user detaches an invoice from a direct debit, it will stop recording payments against the invoice in Xero.
